DUNCAN M. OKUBASU, PhD

Duncan is an Advocate who acts as the firm’s Managing Partner. He boasts of excellent dispute resolution and advocacy skills with a very high success rate in litigation. He is presently one of the most frequently sought for advocate to handle constitutional and judicial review cases as well as public procurement ones. Also, he has been defence counsel in many high profiled anti-corruption criminal cases in Kenya. He also patronizes the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court on various matters ranging from intellectual property, procurement, employment, constitutional & human rights violations as well as asset recovery. He was retained as a consultant by the Attorney General on the Building Bridges appeals. He also successfully represented the Governor of Meru County in an impeachment case before the Kenya’s Senate. Further, he is the main advocate and advisor to the Music Copyright Society of Kenya an organization with over 16,000 members. Besides, Duncan teaches law (constitutional theory, white collar crimes) at Moi University’s department of Public Law and is an examiner for Council for Legal Education and presents a seminar on comparative constitutional law the University of Nairobi.
